Be Independent - One Number, One Call

On 30th June, a new service commenced in Torfaen, called Be Independent.

Be Independent provides a telephone help line for people to access advice and information about the help and services that are available in Torfaen.

There are a wide range of services in our communities and people often find it difficult to get the right information at the right time, and in a way that helps them to sort out their problems.

Many people, especially the older generation, want to speak to someone directly and be given relevant information that they can follow up. Be Independent offers people the opportunity to do this. 

Although aimed primarily at older and frail people, this service is available to anyone in need of advice or information.
